Kelsea Ballerini Gets Cheeky About Sex with Chase Stokes: 'I'm Having a Nice Time' 

The country star got candid about why her experience in the bedroom is different with the actor on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast

Kelsea Ballerini gets candid about some of the most intimate aspects of her relationship with Chase Stokes.

The country star, 30, appeared on a new episode of the show on Wednesday Call her dad podcast hosted by Alex Cooper and talking about her and Foreign banks the sex life of the star. Not only did she explain how their relationship in the bedroom is different from her past experiences, but she sweetly admitted that she’s “having a great time.”

“[Sex] it was something that I always felt very… like my experience with it was very performative for another person as well. You know? And let it not be like that again,” Ballerini revealed in the podcast.

“I’m having a good time,” the Grammy-nominated artist joked with a laugh. “I’m just having a good time!”

When Cooper, 29, asked if she feels “a difference in the quality of sex” with someone she feels “more emotionally connected to,” the singer-songwriter said yes and discussed how she now realizes how impactful it can be on a relationship. “I mean, I didn’t understand how that could be a real link in a relationship. I never understood that,” the Roll out the welcome mat said the artist. “I’ve always thought it’s just something you do because it’s who you do it with. You know? No, no, no — now I realize it’s a link for people.”

“The security it gives you is so beautiful,” she continued. “You get to know yourself and it’s a whole new world.”

The “Penthouse” singer also chatted with Cooper about how she and the 31-year-old actor keep things romantic with spontaneous date nights. “One thing we’ve been working on because we both need control and power in the plan is to go out aimlessly and just have an adventure,” she said. “For us, it’s really fun to not have a plan and just get in the car and feel it.”

The last time the country star appeared on Call her dad in February, she revealed that she first met Stokes by following him on Instagram and entering his DMs. After the fateful message was sent in early December 2022, the couple began dating shortly after and went public with their relationship in January 2023 — and have been smitten ever since.

The Netflix star has shown his support for the hitmaker in recent months, hitting the red carpet and watching her perform at awards shows like the CMA Awards and MTV VMAs, as well as her headline show in her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee.

The TV heartthrob spoke with PEOPLE about watching his girlfriend’s arena milestone at Thompson-Boling Arena on the Heartfirst Tour. “For her to come back to her hometown and sell out an arena, like that stage — that was the best thing. I was crying the whole time – he said.

The performer continued: “It’s a magical moment when you see someone who at the age of 12 wanted to achieve this dream and then come back to her hometown and do exactly what she set out to do – I don’t think there’s any way you could be more proud.”

Ballerini has been open about her love for Stokes before. Just a few weeks ago, the “If You Go Down” singer reflected on her nearly year-long relationship with the star by posting a romantic TikTok with clips of the pair kissing and spending time with each other.

“Favorite man 🫠 🤍,” she added in the caption.
