The weather in Los Angeles may have rained on Kelsea Ballerina’s Grammys parade — but only briefly, because her moment with Taylor Swift made up for it!
While fans were waiting for the country singer, 30, to appear on the red carpet, Ballerini was stuck in traffic due to a downpour, as she reported on her Instagram.
However, Ballerini’s full look got all the attention when she eventually appeared at Crpyto.com Stadium, where she linked up with Midnight singer, 34, inside the hall.
Ballerini — which was nominated for Best Country Album for Rolling up the welcome mat — she wore a black Vera Wang dress with a sheer back hem, as well as flower petal appliqués that trailed down the train and bodice. The design also showed a lot of skin with its strappy silhouette. She styled the number with Simon G jewelry and a sleek ponytail.

Meanwhile, Swift – who not only won best pop vocal album but also announced her new album The Tortured Poets Department during her acceptance speech – wore a white Schiaparelli dress, black opera gloves and a number of statement accessories.

Ballerini was not in the company of one year younger boyfriend Chase Stokes because he is currently busy filming Foreign banks. While at the ASCAP Grammy Brunch on Feb. 2, she told PEOPLE that the actor will be supporting her “from a distance.”
Stokes actually did, as he took to Ballerina’s Instagram comments section to show his love for her sexy looks. “Yeah. I’m…well, I’m not ok,” he wrote under a photo of the singer in her Grammys outfit.

Still, Ballerini is focused on celebrating small and big milestones.
“I think I have this problem where I can never look back. I’m constantly looking up and trying to find a healthy balance in that because there’s so much more I want to do in so many areas. But I feel like I had to try and appreciate what I has brought the last few years to life,” she told PEOPLE at the ASCAP Grammy Brunch.
“I think that really encouraged me to stay diligent in my songwriting and protect the honesty that I found in [Rolling Up the] Welcome Matt moving forward,” Ballerini continued. “And that’s the whole season I’m in right now figuring out what that sounds like next.”
