Oprah Winfrey Tributes Tina Turner With Her 2024 Grammy Look! Winfrey, 70, rocked a vintage Valentino for her first Grammys on Sunday, and what she shared was a stylish tribute to her late friend Turner’s famous short skirts.

“My first #Grammy and it was in honor of my friend Tina Turner who was just the best,” Winfrey wrote in an Instagram post as she shared photos of herself posing in her sparkly outfit on some stairs.

“I pulled this vintage @maisonvalentino out of my closet to pay homage to her many famous short skirts! @recordingacademy,” added the media mogul.

In the pictures, Winfrey wore a sequined black Valentino shirt with a matching pleated skirt that fell just below her knees, along with a pair of sheer black leggings and black heels. She turned around in one move she shared as she swung her skirt in tribute to Turner.

Winfrey kept it glitzy with her accessories too, pairing her look with a matching black embellished handbag, embellished earrings and a chunky gold Valentino logo bracelet with gold rings.

The chat show host also sported a fun, high ponytail with added long extensions that were styled into loose curls.

At the Grammys, Winfrey paid further tribute to Turner — who died aged 83 last May — speaking fondly of the late singer, before delivering a stunning musical tribute to the icon featuring Fantasia Barrino.

“From the moment I met Tina, first as a fan and later blessed to become her friend, she was a special kind of role model,” Winfrey said on stage. “… And as those great wheels of time turn, Tina’s voice continues to speak to us all.”

In an Instagram Story clip posted from backstage after her presentation and Barrin’s performance, Winfrey said, “I thought it was a lot of fun. It was so much fun to honor Tina. And I’m glad that I cried yesterday so I didn’t have to cry today, I could only celebrate. It was so much fun. And I thought Fantasia killed it… the outfit… I loved the whole thing. I loved it, loved it, loved it, loved it.”

“I think this is my first Grammy!” the host realized then. “The only one I remember… the first Grammy in 30 years, I can tell you that.”

“Thank you for inviting me to @recordingacademy to pay tribute to @tinaturner ❤️,” she captioned the clip.

Winfrey continued to praise Barrin’s performance as she posted more behind-the-scenes clips, saying she was “so proud” of it Purple star, 39, while sharing scenes from some of the other music legends she greeted along the way.

Along with posing for a photo with Lenny Kravitz, Winfrey also shared a video of herself congratulating Grammy winner history-maker Taylor Swift.

As Swift, 34, approached Winfrey for a hug, Swift told her, “Hi. How are you? It’s so good to see you. You look beautiful tonight.”
