dr. Frasier Crane is back!

Trailer for the second season of the series Frasier The revival is here, and it’s “more Frasier than ever.” In the first look, Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) is back in Boston and returning to his radio roots.

“This is Dr. Frasier Crane, I’m listening,” he says, delivering his famous line from his time in Seattle.

Elsewhere in the trailer, his son Freddy Crane, played by Jack Cutmore-Scott, prepares to listen to his psychiatrist father’s lectures and asks him for advice on “punctuation,” but Frasier reminds himself to “stay on task.”

Olivia (Toks Olagundoye) joins a hen party with Eve (Jess Salgueiro) and Roz (Peri Gilpin) who looks less than happy to get away from “two grumpy muppets” called Frasier and his old college friend Alan (Nicholas Lyndhurst).

The mayhem continues when the Crane family’s new baby is swapped for three bottles of white zinfandel — prompting a real laugh from the live studio audience.

The upcoming season also proves to be full of guest stars, with appearances by Dan Butler, Rachel Bloom, Yvette Nicole Brown, Greer Grammer, Patricia Heaton, Edward Hibbert, Harriet Sansom Harris and Amy Sedaris.

Director James Burrows also returned to direct two episodes of the hit series.

Teasing the February 2023 reboot, Grammer talked about Frasier’s growth, explaining that he’s “a little bit more mature” now, and opened up about returning to the screen to play him.

“He’s got a bit more wisdom about him, but he’s a bit silly and takes certain things more seriously than most people,” he said. “That’s his character. And it was really fun to play him again.”

Frasier season 2 premieres its first two episodes on Thursday, September 19 on Paramount+.
