Profession
At the age of 21, he started working as a lecturer at SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai. Later, he worked as a lecturer at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai. He has been invited as a guest lecturer at various fashion colleges in India. Ken then started working as a costume designer for BBC Worldwide. In 2010, he launched his clothing line ‘Ken Ferns’ at India Resort Fashion Week in Goa. In 2012, he worked as a costume designer for the Hindi reality TV shows “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” (aired on Colors) and “Nach Baliye” (aired on Star Plus). Since 2013, he has been working as a costume stylist on the Colors reality television show “Bigg Boss”, which airs on Colors.

His clothing line has been showcased at Lakme Fashion Week India for over eight seasons. Some of the other popular fashion shows showcasing his clothing range include India Luxury Fashion Week in Bangalore, India Fashion Week in Delhi and Northeast Fashion Week in Guwahati.

Ken has styled many Indian celebrities such as Ayushmann Khurrana, Terence Lewis, Tamannaah Bhatia, Arjun Kapoor and Gauhar Khan. He worked as a costume and wardrobe designer at the Bollywood theme park in Dubai. He also designed the costumes for the Amazon Prime Video show “The Remix” (2019). Ken worked with the Paris-based video game company “Ubisoft” on the video game Just Dance. Ken also created the clothing line “Love Laugh Live” for TV channel Romedy Now. For his clothing line, he collaborated with landmark group Splash Fashion, called “Ken Ferns For Splash”. Ken worked as a stylist on the Hindi films “Rok Sako To Rok Lo” (2004) and “Yeh Mera India” (2008). He has also worked as a costume designer for Meet Bros.’s Hindi music video “Birthday Pawri” (2021) and Kanika Kapoor’s “Buhe Bariyan” (2022). He worked as a fashion designer for a long time at Waggati Modeling Academy, a modeling agency in Mumbai.
