Keshav Athmanand Maharaj was born on Wednesday, February 7, 1990 in Durban, Natal, South Africa (age 33; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Aquarius. Keshav started playing cricket in his backyard at the age of two. His father later started coaching him and often took him online. He was later selected for the Bakers mini-cricket project, a development program for primary school children, where he played as a left-arm catcher and batsman. One day, his father saw him spinning the ball while training on a synthetic pitch and asked him to start spin bowling. He completed his education at Northwood Boys’ High School in Durban. He later pursued a bachelor’s degree in management.
As his father had been a first-class cricketer, Keshav honed his spin bowling skills at the age of twelve by bowling to several Indian and Pakistani batsmen his father knew on the tennis court. He later became a professional cricketer.

Keshav Maharaj met Lerisha Munsamy in 2018 through a mutual friend and they started dating. After about 5 and a half months of dating, Keshav proposed to her on July 28, 2018 and she accepted and became his girlfriend. Lerisha and Keshav were very secretive about their relationship and did not tell their families. However, on the occasion of Keshav’s mother’s 50th birthday, he planned to perform Kathak dance with her, after which his family approved their relationship.
