Kevin Bacon might not be able to handle the heat (or chaos) in Kyra Sedgwick’s kitchen!
A new Instagram video from Bacon, 66, revealed how he and his wife love to make dinner – and their different expectations. Bacon’s video on Monday, Nov. 4, showed Sedgwick, 59, preparing the delicious meal.
“This isn’t a recipe, but I want to show you the chaos that happens when we start cooking dinner,” he said Free the actor began. He quickly zoomed in on the broccoli rabe he was cooking on the stove.
He then approached Sedgwick’s station at the stove and asked, “What are you doing? What is it? Fish? I don’t know.”
He turned abruptly and quickly pointed to the chopped vegetables and shishito pepper saying, “Whoa, here’s this. Here’s this.” Then he moved on to more chopped green and red peppers. “What’s going on here?” he was surprised.
He then held the camera up to his face and said, “Whoa, wait,” before taking the camera to the oven and pointing at the cauliflower. “This is what we do,” he said.

The video then cut to Bacon recording himself talking to the camera outside, explaining that he “always” tells Sedgwick, “Can we just get two things?”
“She never wants just two things. She wants about eight things,” he said. “I don’t know. It’s just the thing.”
In the next clip, Sedgwick arrives at the dinner table and explains that the couple will enjoy curry fish with coconut, broccoli, cauliflower, rice and shishito peppers — “just in case there’s not enough.”

Several fans of the couple took to the comments and reflected on the couple’s dinner and their cute dynamic.
“The leftovers in your house must be epic!” wrote one user. “❤️. This is such a great, healthy relationship! I love it!” added another.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick Relationship Timeline
Bacon’s recent video isn’t the first time the couple has shared what mealtime looks like in their home. In February 2023, Bacon told PEOPLE exclusively that he and Sedgwick shared responsibilities in the kitchen.
“We really are a team. I mean, like we are in life,” said the actor. “I think I probably started cooking a little more than her, but now it’s 50/50. If anything, maybe she cooks a little more than I do.”
He also admitted that he has a more relaxed approach in the kitchen.
“[Kyra] tends to be someone who goes a little more by the book,” he says. “I’m usually someone who just gathers a bunch of stuff and improvises. It probably speaks to my personality. It is very difficult for me to follow the recipe to the end. I always adjust it when I make it.”
