Attiyah and Ramona Shakir are Khalil Sakir’s loving and supportive parents. Their constant support played an important role in Khalil’s professional success. His father, Attiyah, was a master sergeant in the Marines. He spent his youth in Hawaii and Japan until the sixth grade. Later, the family settled in Southern California. Khalil Shakir is a standout wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. The Buffalo Bills selected him in the fifth round (148th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Shakir attended Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta, CA. He eventually decided to play college football at Boise State University, where he could showcase his skills and make a name for himself. He holds a BA in Logistics and Business/Communications from Boise State University.

As noted earlier, his father, Attiyah Shakir, was a master sergeant in the Marine Corps. His mother, Mona Tuamoheloa-Shakir, also runs Vista Murrieta’s Olympic-style football and sports program. In terms of ethnicity, his family has deep roots in Polynesian culture.
Furthermore, he has three wonderful siblings who play sports. Attiyyah Shakir Jr., Shakir’s older brother, wowed spectators with his running ability at Coker University. Rahni Shakir, his elder sister, is currently a member of the Livingstone College track and field team and is making waves with her outstanding skills. Tyreese Shakir, Khalil’s younger brother, is a talented defensive back and rising sophomore at FCS institution Portland State University.

Sayler Shakir, Khalil Shakir’s wife, started dating while attending Boise State University. Sayler, a skilled football player, and Khalil, a top receiver on the football team, met while attending the same institution. After dating for a year and a half, the couple got engaged on March 29, 2022. They got married on March 13, 2023 in the picturesque hills of Northern California, throwing a spectacular celebration. Ruby Hill Winery, decorated with roses, foliage and twinkling lights, was the perfect backdrop for their big day.
Their loved ones surrounded them as they joyfully and excitedly celebrated their wedding. Khalil is now working to lead the NFL’s Buffalo Bills to their first AFC conference title in decades. Sayler is constantly there to encourage him and provide unfailing support. It’s great to see such a caring and supportive couple going through life together.
