Kieran Culkin is not entirely convinced a Succession a spinoff would have a lot of success.
41-year-old actor caught up DiversityMarc Malkin during the official Golden Globes 2024 digital outlet pre-promotion with Party tonight on Sunday night, when he admitted that the series following the hit HBO drama sounded “terrible.”
“I feel like I should have a joke for this, but I feel like a spinoff is a terrible idea,” Culkin said, adding that he doesn’t like “just the word spinoff.”
“Sometimes they do, yes,” he said. “I wanted to say, remember Fraser? We all loved Fraser but not every show could be Fraser.”

Still, according to Culkin, one character could really work with his own series: Greg Hirsch, played by costar Nicholas Braun.
“Cousin Greg would be a good spinoff show, to be honest,” Culkin admitted. “That would be fun.”
After Malkin suggested that Culkin might “stop by every now and then,” Culkin jokingly asked if “walk-in applause” would be possible in the proposed series to follow.
“Would it work in a show like this? That’s why I would do it,” he said.

AND Succession A sitcom may not be in the works, but if he needs one, Culkin has the necessary wardrobe to reprise his role as Roman Roy. The role itself earned Culkin a Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama Sunday Night, so it makes sense that he now personally owns some of what brought the character to life.
Speaking about what he’s been able to take home from the set since the HBO series ended in May 2023 after four seasons, Culkin said he hasn’t kept “officially anything.”
However, this does not mean that he said goodbye to his colleagues empty-handed.
“But a lot of my wardrobe fell off the truck and I found it and it was just in a pile in my closet,” Culkin seemingly joked, adding that aside from the sleek black suit he wore to the Globes, “everything else I wear is Romanova.”
