Kim Congdon News

This past weekend, comic Kim Congdon apologised if anyone saw her kick a man’s ass outside the theatre. He violated me sexually after my performance (and boasted about it as he left), spoiling an otherwise wonderful evening for me.

Congdon, whose work has appeared on popular podcasts like The Joe Rogan Experience and Kill Tony, as well as on Impractical Jokers, Stoned Science, Broad Topics on YouTube, and This Bitch, was opening for Joey Diaz at Sony Hall in New York when the incident occurred, she told Deadline tonight.

Congdon added, “I had left my phone on a tripod near the sound booth and went to get it” after her performance. Through the throng, she went. The man had to be returning from the loo or something.

Congdon first avoided going into great detail about the incident, but after receiving several sceptic tweets from trolls, she became quite explicit.

“I can’t believe I have to say this,” she penned, “but I would not tweet or make a big deal about someone grazing me by accident.” I have no desire to harm or accuse anyone. With my back to him, this man twice prodded me in my vagina, essentially trying to ‘finger me’ through my leggings.

Congdon said to Deadline today, “I was already walking the other direction when it happened. He actually claimed to be blind when I turned around.

She claimed that the event happened “right when Joey [Diaz] was getting onstage and a lot of people were cheering and then the lights went down.” In the pitch black, she lost sight of the man, but the venue staff located him.

The comedian claimed, “I went and ID’d him once they discovered him. Then they forced him to leave. He didn’t care that he was being ejected, she claimed on Twitter, since he remarked, “At least I got to touch Kim’s p*ssy.”

Congdon told Deadline that at a comedy club in adjacent New Jersey, “this happened on the same night they threw the beer at that girl,” Ariel Elias.

These are the most recent in a spate of incidents on comedians as they perform, started with Will Smith imposing Chris Rock at the Oscars, then Dave Chappelle getting assaulted at the Hollywood Bowl, T.I. entering the stage in Atlanta and grasping the mic ahead of a comedian making fun at him and stand-up comic Sampson McCormick being batted by an audience participant through his show at the Win-River Resort & Casino in Redding, CA.
