Kim Kardashian has come a long way since gracing her first magazine cover.
In the season finale The Kardashians, the founder of SKIMS reflects on how far she has come. As they celebrate Scott Disick’s 40th birthday, the Kardashian family points out that he was there every step of the way.
Kim says Disick has “supported me through thick and thin…been there for me through every phase.”
One of those phases that catapulted Kim to mogul status? Magazine K9.
The superstar, who now graced the headlines Vogue, Ella and Harper’s Bazaarshe debuted on the cover of the magazine in Magazine K9 in 2008.
Disick jokes that he doesn’t even like dogs, but when it comes to work, Kim replies that she’ll do “anything just for the cover.”
“You’ve gone from K9 dogs to the front page Forbes”, says Kris Jenner.
“You’re a lawyer now, huhVogue cover model,” Disick replies.

In a story for a dog lover’s magazine, Kim introduces the world to the family’s pups, reflects on the show’s second season Keeping up with the Kardashians (which ran for 20 seasons) and shares her personal motto: “Do whatever makes you happy, don’t conform to what others think you should do, and of course, family comes first!”
Last year, in a YouTube video in which Kim offers a tour of the SKKN by Kim office, she revealed that she keeps K9 cover on the wall.
“This one K9 Dog I’ll always keep up,” Kim said.
“I wanted so badly to be on the cover of a magazine, and K9 magazine for dogs called,” Kim recalled. “And I remember begging Khloé and Nicole Richie to borrow their dogs because I didn’t have a dog and I wanted to be on the cover of a magazine. I don’t know whose dog it is, it’s theirs.’”

In the episode, Disick recalls thinking “this show is going nowhere” in the early days Keeping up with the Kardashians. Kim then credits the family’s ingenuity for their enduring success.
“We cheated the system,” she says in the episode. “We made it, whatever it was. We figured it out and we made it. We put in the hard work.”
Kim goes on to claim that Disick is her “motivator.”
“They’ll always say, ‘God, can you believe you did that?'” she says. “And I’m like, ‘I can’t.’ Aren’t we supposed to be here, like we got to this cool party? We weren’t the cool kids. How did we do it?”
