Kim Kardashian continues to show off her acting muscles.
Kardashian, 43, is set to appear in an upcoming thriller from screenwriter Natalie Krinsky (Gallery of broken hearts, Gossip girl) and producer Bruno Papandrea (Big little lies, Gone Girl) for Amazon MGM Studios. Krinsky is writing the screenplay based on the original idea and created the idea for the upcoming film with Kardashian in mind to play the lead role.
No plot details, title or other cast announcements for the upcoming film have been released yet.
Kardashian made a splash in 2023 with a recurring role in American Horror Story: Delicate. She played entertainment columnist Siobhan, who works for actress Anna Victoria Alcott (Emma Roberts). The twelfth season of the horror series follows the character Roberts as she struggles to raise a family while promoting a blockbuster film during awards season.
The reality TV star appeared in all five episodes of the series in the first half of the season, with the second half of the season set to premiere on April 3. The series marked Kardashian’s first foray into acting on screen in more than a decade, aside from occasional cameo roles as herself in films like Ocean’s Eight (2018). She also lends her voice to two recent family members paw patrol films as Delores, a standard poodle.

Kardashian shared that she took acting lessons in preparation for American Horror Story at the 2023 Met Gala in May. “I think it’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow,” she said at the time. “I’m so excited for the experience.”
“It’s a challenge — I like to challenge myself,” she added when asked about acting lessons.

Years before Kardashian’s recent foray into acting, she took on smaller roles in 2009. Disaster movieTyler PerryTemptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, CSI: NY and Drop Dead Diva. She appeared as herself as a guest in television series such as How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock and Two broke girls and hosted Saturday night live in October 2021.

Kardashian’s IMDb page lists two of her upcoming projects, including an untitled television series she’ll reportedly star in and a movie she’s set to produce with screenwriter Paula Pell (Sisters). Back in November, Deadline reported that Kardashian was pitching the latter project to major studios and described it as a “female-driven comedy.”
