Kim Kardashian officially opens Christmas 2024!
The SKIMS founder, 44, shared the first glimpse of her towering, faux snow-covered tree on her Instagram Stories in the early hours of Monday, November 25. She posted a short clip that scrolls across her holiday centerpiece to the seasonal song “Twinkling Lights” by Auni.
Kim is no stranger to extravagant holiday displays. The reality star has become known for displaying elaborate Christmas decor at her Hidden Hills, California residence over the years, and even caused some controversy with a unique display she debuted in 2018.

That year, Kim posted photos from a lavish holiday party she and ex Kanye West threw. Paintings included flower displays, numerous trees covered in fake snow, an outdoor light tunnel and a forest of fluffy white tree sculptures by Australian contemporary artist Kathy Temin.
A celebrity event planning expert told PEOPLE at the time that the entire party likely cost about $1.3 million, with the sculpture itself costing about $10,000 apiece.

“It’s like a Whoville winter wonderland,” Kim said of the sculptures, referring to the classic Dr. Seuss How the Grinch Stole Christmas showing a corridor lined with puffy white “trees”.
The Kardashians The star brought the expensive installation back for a few more Christmases and even shared photos of her kids playing hide and seek in it in 2020.
“If you didn’t think I was going to bring Whoville back into the house…” the mother of four said in her post.

In 2023, the founder of SKKN BY KIM shared how she arranges her children’s bedrooms along with the rest of the house. Daughter North, now 11, posted a video on TikTok showing the decorations, including a Christmas tree covered in pink purses.

The Kardashian-Jenner family are also fans of the elaborate Elf on the Shelf display for the little ones.
In 2022, the mom of four shared that North created an Elf on the Shelf display for her younger siblings, even making a “makeup artist” elf for her younger sister, Chicago, 6.

In the same year, Kim revealed that she also decorated her primary bathroom for the holidays. The screen showed a row of snow-covered trees illuminated by white lights that lined the massive wall-to-wall windows.
