Kim Kardashian made her debut in the season premiere American Horror Story: Delicate on Wednesday — and many critics agreed that her performance was more than acceptable, even claiming that she might be “perfect” for the role. Kardashian, 42, plays Siobhan, a publicist for actress Anne Victoria Alcott (Emma Roberts). The reality star receives some of the most colorful dialogue of the season premiere, with her character’s bombastic first line, “Then tell the Daniels to blow my f—!”, referring to a client she refuses to let miss a press day for a commercial shoot.
According to most critics, the SKIMS mogul proved to be a good role model for the fierce character.

“You feel like Kim is paying homage to her mom-anager Kris Jenner,” he wrote Deadline editorial director and box office editor Anthony D’Alessandro.
“She’s perfect for the role,” D’Alessandro continued. “Everybody calm down, it’s not like Kim is playing Portia in Shakespeare Venetian merchant.”

USA Today Entertainment reporter Patrick Ryan asserted that Kardashian “smartly leans on the Valley girl persona” in this new role.
“Kardashian’s acting skills may be more People’s Choice-worthy than Emmy-worthy,” Ryan added. “But like American Horror Story student Jessica Lange and Lady Gaga before her, she’s the only one so far who has lived up to the season’s high-camp potential.”

In the meantime, The Daily Beast entertainment critic Coleman Spilde said he can’t wait to watch the rest of this season, stating, “It’s Kardashian who, based on Tuesday night’s premiere, is going to make this season really worth watching.”
“Her affected word reading and familiar face may make it difficult to take the show completely seriously, but that’s exactly what it is AHS needs: a season that has given up trying to be anything more than good, campy fun,” he added.

Given the initial critical reception of Kardashian’s performance, American Horror Story: Delicate could prove to be a return to form for the top horror series, now in its 12th season. In addition to Kardashian and Roberts, this season’s cast includes Cara Delevingne, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and Zachary Quinto, who stars in the series.
The announcement of the Kardashian’s selection earlier this year made waves, s The Kardashians star, revealing in May that she was taking acting classes to prepare for her role.

“It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow,” she said Diversity to star in the series created by Ryan Murphy. “I like to challenge myself.”

“I made a cameo role in this season American Horror Story and I had to meet her,” Quinto, 46, shared with reporters, including PEOPLE. “She was so lovely and warm and, really, I don’t think she needs my advice.”
“She seemed really in her element and I was really impressed with her spirit and her openness,” the actor continued. “I’m really looking forward to seeing this season because I think she’s going to do a great job.”

The AHS the role marks Kardashian’s first acting role in over a decade. She had a minor role in 2009 Disaster movieTyler PerryTemptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, CSI: NY and Drop Dead Diva. She also played herself How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock and Two broke girls.
She also made it Saturday night live hosting debut in October 2021.
