Kiran Magar was born as “Kiran Laxman Magar” (25 years old; as of 2024) on Saturday, February 13, 1999, in Nimgaon village, Malshiras Taluka, Solapur district, Maharashtra. In 2022, Kiran Magar represented the Maharashtra Kabaddi team in the 69th National Senior Kabaddi Championship and won a silver medal in the finals of the event.
In the same year, he was selected for the 9th season of the Pro Kabaddi League and was acquired for Rs. 3.1 million for the Mumbai team “U Mumba”. Kieran Magar played a total of 16 games and had an overall tackle success rate of 40%.
In 2023, Kiran Magar represented Baburao Chandere Social Foundation in the Chief Minister’s Cup 2023 held in Nanded, Maharashtra and won the gold medal.
In the same year, Kiran Magar was appointed captain of the Maharashtra Kabaddi team and participated in the 37th National Sports Competition held in Goa. Led by Kieran, the team won a silver medal.
Later in 2023, Kiran was selected and purchased for Rs. Lucknow-based kabaddi team ‘UP Yoddhas’ won US$ 1.3 million in the 10th season of the Professional Kabaddi League.

- Kiran Magar moved in with his uncle Anil Ghadge at a very young age. He used to watch players compete at a local club called ‘Maharana Kalamb’ and that’s how he got interested in the sport by observing the players.
- Initially, Kiran Magar failed the test to get into the Maharashtra Kabaddi team and it was then that his parents became hesitant about his decision; however, Kiran Successfully convinced them and continued the game.
- Baburao Chandere, a senior member of the Kuomintang Congress Party, is Kiran Magar’s biggest supporter. He has been motivating Kiran in his early days and asked Kiran to join the Baburao Chandere Social Foundation he owns.
