The last Los Angeles Lakers jersey and shorts worn by Kobe Bryant during a road game sold for big bucks at a recent auction.
On Saturday, SCP Auctions closed bidding on the “24” jersey and matching shorts worn by the late athlete during the final road game of his career on April 11, 2016. Twenty people submitted bids, with a minimum set value of $50,000.
According to the website, the jersey size is 4XL4 and the shorts are 3XL (length +2” flag tag).
Bryant’s uniform also comes with an added bonus that any sports memorabilia collector is sure to find fascinating.

“One notable feature is a microphone pouch inside the front waistband so Kobe can plug into the microphone during games,” the SCP Auctions listing states. “Most mic-friendly jerseys keep this pouch along the inside seam near the inside armpit; Bryant may have been uncomfortable with this, opting to keep him in shorts instead. We know this was one of Kobe’s favorite travel pairs. Resolution combined that with nine additional games during the final two months of his bye season!”
In addition to the Black Mamba jersey and shorts selling for $366,967, the Nike “Kobe 11 Elite Low” sneakers he also wore during his last game sold for $118,230. The two parts that make up the complete uniform sold for a combined $485,197
SCP Auctions said the items were “perfectly preserved from the last time he wore them.”

Bryant played his last game on the road in Oklahoma City. The Lakers lost to the Thunder 112-79, and Bryant scored 19 points.
Other memorabilia from the NBA legend’s final games have also fetched high prices in the past — including a towel he used during his final game with the Lakers in 2016 that sold for $33,077 at Iconic Auctions in March 2020.

Bryant was seen holding a towel in photos and videos as he gave his farewell speech at the end of his game on April 13, 2016, in Los Angeles. With a Body Armor towel slung over his shoulder, he finished with his famous “Mamba Out” line.
In October 2020, Heritage Auctions sold a piece of Staples Center hardwood flooring signed by Bryant for $631,000. It was from his match on April 13, 2016.
While the towel and piece of hardwood floor made it to auction, other key pieces of memorabilia from Bryant’s final game did not.
“The likelihood of any piece of uniform (jersey, shorts or shoes) from the ‘Mamba Out’ game ever seeing the light of day is very slim. Those museum relics will surely remain in the Bryant family or perhaps one day end up in Springfield, Massachusetts,” noted SCP Auctions.
Bryant played his entire NBA career with the Lakers. The sports star died in a helicopter crash that also killed his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people on January 26, 2020. He was 41 years old.
