Despite their best efforts, the South African team struggled to find their rhythm and execute their game plan effectively. Still, they were able to stand out and only rare performances earned recognition and appreciation amid the disappointment. The player ratings for the Springbok vs New Zealand match are as follows.   1. Steven Kitshoff, at 7.5 as his overall performance was solid on the front row. He also provided stability and made several notable carries throughout the game.
  2. Bongi Mbonambi, on 6, how disappointing his overall performance was for the Springboks, and Bongi didn’t show his trademark accuracy with his line shots, but he did make some valuable contributions in the game.
  3. Frans Malherbe struggled to make a significant impact in open play, as he kept his own matchups underpowered and secured a 5.5 rating.
  4. Eben Etzebeth, despite the loss of his father a week earlier, showed great courage to take the field and managed to get 6 points.
  5. Lood de Jager put in a decent performance, but his impact was somewhat limited, making his presence less interesting and securing him a 6 rating.

  9. Lukhanyo Am was a solid midfield presence making scrums count and providing some stability on the pitch and managed to earn a rating of 6.
  10. Willie Le Roux was one of the featured artists, earning an 8 rating.
