The Springboks hit a rough patch when they were beaten by the All Blacks at Mount Smart Stadium. Despite their best efforts, the South African team struggled to find their rhythm and execute their game plan effectively. - Steven Kitshoff, at 7.5 as his overall performance was solid on the front row. He also provided stability and made several notable carries throughout the game.
- Bongi Mbonambi, on 6, how disappointing his overall performance was for the Springboks, and Bongi didn’t show his trademark accuracy with his line shots, but he did make some valuable contributions in the game.
- Frans Malherbe struggled to make a significant impact in open play, as he kept his own matchups underpowered and secured a 5.5 rating.
- Eben Etzebeth, despite the loss of his father a week earlier, showed great courage to take the field and managed to get 6 points.
