Wetzel was born in Pittsburg, Texas on July 14, 1992. The 28-year-old was drawn to country music by his family, particularly his mother, Julie Wetzel. Julie is a country music performer who travels from town to town for her concerts on the Opry circuit — a term used to describe country music concerts held throughout Texas.
