dispute

  • After the release of the film Gautamiputra Satakarni, SS Rajamouli expressed his admiration for the film and even agreed to be interviewed by Krish on a TV channel. When Krish’s team asked Rajamouli for permission to use the interview for other media platforms, Rajamouli agreed. However, a Telugu newspaper published the interview, portraying it as Rajamouli writing a letter to Krish to express his appreciation for the film. This angered Rajamouli, who demanded an explanation from Krish’s team about what had happened. Rajamouli also posted the letter on his social media account and said excerpts from his interview were in the form of a letter. Tweets from SS Rajamouli
  • During the filming of the 2018 film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Krish left the director due to creative differences with Kangana Ranaut. Kangana reportedly interfered with the direction of the film and she humiliated Krish and kicked him out of the film. According to Kangana, she had to take up the director’s chair after Krish left the film company to work on NTR’s biopic.

  • After the release of Manikarnika in 2019, Kangana Ranaut claimed that she had directed 70% of the film, which angered Krish, who was believed to be the co-director of the film. According to Krish –

Kangana shot 20-25% in the first half and 10-15% in the second half. I didn’t shoot the song, and I didn’t shoot her entrance scene. By the second half, she even reshot some scenes that I had shot differently. I don’t see how Kangana slept well by getting the first direction honor when she didn’t deserve it.

Reacting to Krish, her sister Rangoli Chandel lashed out at him in a series of tweets, in which she stated that Kangana had begged him to accept the cast of the film list, but Krish went out of his way to ruin the movie. Replying to Rangoli, Krish said-

Neither Kangana nor I will leave the industry so soon. I will direct more movies in the future and so will she. People will know who stands where. I’m tired of Kangana and the whole controversy. “
