Memorial Day is approaching – and so are the food offerings.
During the long weekend to honor all those who have died serving in the military, select restaurant chains and diners are offering sweet deals, starting with Krispy Kreme.
The donut chain ran some numbers to think about its latest venture. With 38.4 million Americans expected to travel for the holidays, according to AAA, the chain is giving away a dozen glazed donuts for just $3.84. The only catch? Customers must buy a dozen at full price to grab the discounted one.
From Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27, the donut deal is available at participating Krispy Kreme stores. There is a limit of two dozen per customer.
Papa Johns is also getting freebies for Memorial Day weekend. When customers join Papa Rewards and place an order between May 24 and May 26, they can win a free medium pizza with one topping on their next order.
