Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer’s Relationship Timeline

Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer wear their hearts on their sleeves.

Although he is usually private about his past relationships, Twilight alum has been extremely vocal about his affection for fiancée Meyer.

In addition to their PDA pictures, which show their love for each other, Stewart opened up The Howard Stern Show in November 2019 about their chemistry, describing it as “sick.”

Meyer, a screenwriter whom the actress describes as “brilliant,” and Stewart have a lot in common. Stewart joked with host Howard Stern about how they both “felt like trolls as kids,” in addition to sharing a love of Los Angeles.

Stewart noted that marriage “never [appeal to her],” before she met Meyer. “When you know, you know,” she added.

Stewart admitted to The Associated Press in May 2019 that she has struggled with defining her sexuality in the past. “I felt a great responsibility, one that I was genuinely concerned about if I wasn’t able to say one thing or the other.”

She continued, “The fact that you don’t have to now is, like, so much truer.”

Before she dated Meyer, Stewart was linked to him Twilight costar Robert Pattinson, stylist Sara Dinkin and model Stella Maxwell over the years.

From their first interaction to their engagement, here’s a timeline of Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer’s relationship

2013: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer meet on set for the first time

Stewart and Meyer met by chance on the set of the movie in 2013. Six years later they reunited at a friend’s birthday party where they got along well. During her performance at The Howard Stern Show in November 2019, Stewart recalled her first impression of Meyer, saying, “Where have you been and why didn’t I know you?”

Stewart explained that although they both lived in LA, their paths never officially crossed. However, the day after they got back together, she said it was “like all bets were off”.

August 2019: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer fueled dating rumors

In August 2019, Stewart was photographed kissing Meyer on the sidewalk in New York City. The picture was taken just a month after Stewart and ex-girlfriend Maxwell, who split in December 2018, were seen kissing in Italy.

October 2019: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer become Instagram official

Meyer made her relationship with Stewart Instagram official when she posted an adorable black-and-white photo of the two kissing on October 27, 2019.

“Find me under the covers hiding from the happiness police. 🖤”, the screenwriter wrote in the title of the post.

November 2019: Kristen Stewart talks love with Dylan Meyer

Stewart explained to Stern the extremely cold and honest way she first said “I love you” to Meyer.

“The first time I told her I loved her was really late and we were at some shitty bar and her friends were there or whatever and they came out and I was like, ‘Oh man, I’m so — in love with you .’ Like, done,” she said. “It wasn’t like a ‘thing’ and it was also so obvious.”

Stewart also revealed her engagement plans on The Howard Stern Show in November 2019. When host Stern asked Stewart if she was in love, the actress confidently confirmed that she was. She then said that she would “absolutely” propose and that she “[couldn’t] f––wait for the king.”

While he was tight-lipped about details, Stewart said, “I have a couple of plans that I know would be the best thing to do, that I think would be pretty uncontested.”

September 1, 2020: Kristen Stewart takes over Dylan Meyer’s Instagram to encourage fans to vote

Since Stewart didn’t have her own Instagram account, on September 1, 2020, she used her girlfriend’s platform to reach out to fans and encourage them to register to vote. Stewart posted a selfie on Meyer’s page wearing a white T-shirt with “VOTE” written on it in large letters. “I turned the mic over to Kristen because she had something to say and she doesn’t have her account. Happy #nationalvoterregistrationday!” Meyer wrote in the title, before Stewart’s part of the title.

Stewart wrote: “For anyone who might need to vent some aggression today… it’s national VOTE day. I never do this, but for anyone who hasn’t registered to vote, please take this opportunity to feel HEARD. And no hopeless.”

On November 3, 2020, Stewart shared another photo on Meyer’s Instagram encouraging fans to get out and vote.

September 11, 2021: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer walk together in NYC

After promoting her film Spencer at the Venice Film Festival, Stewart returned to New York and enjoyed a Saturday afternoon stroll with Meyer. The pair were photographed with iced coffee lattes in hand as they strolled through the SoHo neighborhood.

November 2021: Kristen Stewart reveals she is engaged to Dylan Meyer

Stewart may have been the one to say he would “absolutely” propose, but it was Meyer who popped the question.

“Not sure I’d be the one, you know what I mean? Like, with two girls, you never know, like, who’s going to fill what weird f–––king gender role, and we don’t do that or think about it in in that sense,” Stewart explained to Stern during a Nov. 2, 2021, interview.

“So I said, ‘Wait, well, I’m definitely not the one.’ And so I kind of joked, like, ‘No, I want to be the one to propose, like, I want to be the one to propose,’ and then she just grabbed that bowl and it happened. It was f– The king is so cute “, continued the actress.

While Stewart didn’t reveal any other details about the actual proposal, she did tell Jimmy Fallon on Tonight’s show that Meyer “knocked it out of the park.”

January 19, 2022: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer enjoy Disneyland with friends

The couple spent the day at Disneyland with a group of friends, including Ashley Benson, on January 19, 2022. Several friends in the group posted pictures of the day on social media. Benson posted a group photo on her Instagram story from the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge section of the park. Family trips to Disney,” Benson wrote alongside a photo of both Stewart and Meyer.

January 24, 2022: Kristen Stewart opens up about planning her wedding to Dylan Meyer

Stewart shared some updates on her wedding plans when she appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Jan 24, 2022 She mentioned that she would like to have “a big party or something”, despite noting that she is “so unceremonious”. On the other hand, her spontaneity might get the best of her as she admitted, “I like to spin.”

“Maybe we’d just go do it this weekend or something, I don’t know, and then we’d just hang out with everybody afterwards,” the actress said. “I just want to do it, you know? I’m not a good planner. I can’t make dinner plans.”

February 14, 2022: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer play zombies on Valentine’s Day

For Valentine’s Day, Meyer shared a photo with her fiancee of the two of them together dressed in zombie makeup and wearing matching pajamas. The pair, who stood side by side, wore matching sleep masks that read ‘dead tired’ to complete the look. Meyer wrote in the caption, “I’ll play dead with you anytime Valentine.”

March 7, 2022: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer attend their first public event together

After keeping their relationship mostly quiet, the two made their first public appearance together as a couple on March 7, 2022, while attending an Oscars party hosted by The Hollywood Reporter. In one photo, Meyer could be seen gazing lovingly at Stewart, who is up for best actress for her role in Spencer.

March 13, 2022: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer make their red carpet debut

The couple made their red carpet debut when they stepped out for the 2022 Critics Choice Awards on March 13. She is nominated in the Best Actress category for her portrayal of the late Princess Diana in SpencerStewart was accompanying Meyer when he stopped for pictures – in which the two embraced and posed cheek to cheek.

April 9, 2022: Dylan Meyer shares a birthday tribute to Kristen Stewart on Instagram

Meyer shared a sweet tribute to Stewart on Instagram in honor of her 32nd birthday. The post was a photo of the couple kissing over a birthday cake. Meyer wrote in the caption: “One more around the sun and you’re getting flyers every year. Time suits you, man. You know, as they say in Toons, ‘awooga’.”

August 25, 2022: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer show off their fun fashion sense

Meyer shared a picture on Instagram of her and Stewart smilingly posing together. In the video, Dylan wore a white t-shirt and glasses, while Stewart wore a black shirt and matching baseball cap. In the title, the screenwriter acknowledged their similarity to the main characters in the film Wayne’s World movies and Saturday night live sketches. “Accidental Party on, Wayne,” she wrote.

April 9, 2023: Dylan Meyer celebrates Kristen Stewart’s 33rd birthday

Meyer greeted her “favorite shrimp” on her birthday.

“Baby, I love you more than all the shades of green, all the moons, all the cats in LA. I love you more than chunking express, or Denis Johnson who’s already dead, or the raw power of marionettes. I love you more than domino pizza when you’re high, Ricky’s fish tacos when you’re hungover, EVEN more than a plate of wings ~ hot and extra crispy ~ rustic, i.e. the pinnacle of my ability to love,” she wrote on Instagram.

The Moxie the writer added: “Some might say that’s too much love, but I say these people are real squares. Go ahead or go home! Happy birthday, dude, I love you.”

October 26, 2023: Kristen Stewart opens up about her future wedding plans

During the performance at Watch what’s happening liveStewart told host Andy Cohen that he had already volunteered, after she expressed her desire to have celebrity chef Guy Fieri officiate her wedding, even though she wasn’t sure if she would accept his offer.

“I think we’ll probably just get married and then call Guy and say, ‘You’ve been here in spirit, honey,'” she said.

When it came to picking a wedding date, Stewart said she and Meyer would probably “surprise themselves.”
