Shortly after the San Francisco 49ers lost the 2024 Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs on February 11, Christian McCaffrey and his fiancee Olivia Culpo, George Kittle and his wife Claire, and Kyle Juszczyk and his wife Kristin flew to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for much needed relaxation.
However, it turned out that they are not the only footballers who rested at the resort after the big game. During their getaway, Page Six posted a photo of the 49ers’ friends in a hotel bar talking with NFL legend Peyton Manning.
Now Kristin is sharing exactly what the athletes were talking about.
“It was great for the guys to be able to talk to him,” Kristin tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview about her partnership with State Farm. “I mean, he’s been there, too. He’s won Super Bowls, he’s lost Super Bowls. So that’s great advice for guys.”
She continues, “Being able to deal with it, there’s only so much you can do. It’s like anything, time heals all wounds. Moving on to the next goal and the next season is what pushes these guys forward.”

Kristin also shared that for Kyle, the trip to Mexico was a great opportunity to be with his teammates after the loss. She says that during the entire vacation, she and Kyle had a chance to relax and not carry the burden of the season on their shoulders.
“There’s a real brotherhood there. You’re with each other every day, and then [in the off-season] you don’t see each other as often as you normally would,” she says. “So it’s good to get away and block out the noise, maybe turn off social media for a few days and just be with each other and play a board game and kind of just disconnect.”
“They’re Kyle’s teammates and their wives and fiancees and they’ve all become family to us, which is so special,” adds Kristin. “What’s so amazing about the NFL in general is all the friends we’ve made for life. So it’s just good to be able to hang out as friends and get away from the game for a little while.”

A photo from their trip captured the couple on the beach soaking up the sun. McCaffrey wore some dark green pants, while Culpo opted for a cream colored braided bikini. Kristen paired a similar white two-piece jumpsuit with oversized sunglasses and dangling earrings, while her husband opted for a simple red blazer.
George sported his signature man bun and blue bathing suit, while Claire, who was the bravest one to venture into the chilly Pacific Ocean, chose a peach bikini to frolic in.
The ladies also recorded a playful TikTok posted to Olivia’s account about how they’re holding up after the Super Bowl loss, with each mouthing a viral voice saying, “I’d give the pain a 10” and promising it hurt “really, really bad.”
