Kylie Jenner Addresses Critics Who Say Her New Look Is a Result of Her Relationship with Timothée Chalamet

Kylie Jenner is addressing critics who have an opinion about her new, more conservative look.

In an interview with The New York Times published Thursday, the 26-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder was asked to respond to critics who say her latest style was influenced by her current boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet. She has been linked to the 28-year-old actor since 2023.

“I don’t know how I feel about it,” Jenner said. “I just don’t want to talk about personal stuff.”

She said she was unaware of the theory, as she tries to focus solely on social media comments about her businesses and products, rather than her appearance or personal life. The NYT mentions the “cottagecore’ maxidress with puff sleeves” that Jenner wore last summer.

The Kardashians star instead cited the birth of son Aire Webster, 2, as the reason for her new style.

“It takes me a while after I have a baby to feel like myself again,” she said. “Then you get your body back and say, ‘Wait, trends have changed.’ ”

In an interview with NYT, Jenner addressed the impact that constant criticism of her physical appearance has on her emotions. As the newspaper reported, the bright lighting in one photo can sometimes be the catalyst for stories in which plastic surgeons speculate about whether she has had additional cosmetic procedures.
