Kylie Jenner Launches First Fragrance: ‘Elevated Scent That Is Perfect for Day and Night’

Kylie Jenner enters the perfume business!

The Kylie Cosmetics founder, 26, announced on Instagram on Friday that her debut solo fragrance — COSMIC — will be available on her company’s website starting March 7.

“COSMIC is a sweet, warm floral, elevated scent that’s perfect for day and night,” she wrote in one of three posts revealing the scent.

Elaborating on the scent, Jenner said that COSMIC opens with “starry jasmine (floral, sweet) + blood orange (bright, citrusy)”, the heart has “golden amber accord (rich) + red peony accord (gentle, sweet, floral) , ” and a base of “vanilla musk accord (creamy, addictive) + cedar wood (woody, warm).” The businesswoman’s mother, presenter Kris Jenner, commented on one post with clapping emoticons.

Although Kris, 68, is among Kylie’s biggest supporters when it comes to her business ventures, Kylie once told Jennifer Lawrence that Kris had doubts about her first product, the Kylie Lip Kit, which launched in 2015.

“Proving people wrong was a challenge, but so was building it from the ground up,” Kylie told Lawrence, 33, in an interview with 2023. Interview magazine. “It was me and my mom and we never did a makeup line.”

“We didn’t know where to start. We had no one to help us. And my mom thought I’d be stuck with lip kits in my garage for the rest of my life,” she continued.

Kylie recalled her mom telling her, “You better be ready, Kylie, because you might have a lot of lip kits in your garage for the rest of your life, so you better love these colors.”

Luckily for the mom of two, Kylie doesn’t have that problem. Her lip kits sold out almost instantly and she hasn’t looked back since.

COSMIC is available from March 7th.

COSMIC is the first perfume that the reality star will release solo, as she previously collaborated with her sister Kim Kardashian on the fragrance KKW x KYLIE 2019.
