Somabhai Modi established a trust called Sarvoday Seva Trust on March 26, 1999 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. On January 29, 2001, he founded the Visamo Vruddhashram Nursing Home in memory of his father, Damodardas Mulchand Modi. A physiotherapy center was established in Soma on May 7, 2006 with the support of Sarvoday Seva Trust. He extended his trust by establishing a physical therapy center. The clinic is called Dard Nivaran Suvidha Kendra. The clinic treats people with severe back and neck pain. On February 16, 2021, on the 20th anniversary of the nursing home, Visamo Vruddhashram was renamed as Swargast Damordas Moolchand Modi Sewasharam. His mother Heeraben Modi unveiled the bust of Damodardas Mulchand Modi. Speaking about this issue in an interview, Soma said:
This is a quiet and private event. My mother unveils the bust. We organized a small celebration with members of the nursing home and some close ones from the town. “

- Somabhai Modi said that when Narendra Modi told him that he wanted to become a politician, he was skeptical about his decision as politics could bring discomfort in Narendra’s life. Stablize. Talking about this, he said,
