Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa and Chappell Roan prepare for Christmas, Karaoke in a carpool style.
On Sunday, December 15, Apple TV+ and Apple Music premiered the series’ one-hour holiday special, marking the show’s first episode in 18 months.
Regular host James Corden (46) handed over the keys and the front seat of his SUV to 51-year-old Zane Lowe for all three segments.
“Zane, my man. Listen, I need a favor, okay? I have three friends, they just need a ride,” Corden tells Lowe during a phone call at the start of the special.
DJ Lowe then goes “wow” when told his passengers will need to be picked up from Tokyo, Missouri and Los Angeles – but it seems he’s up for the challenge, as the next shot sees him singing “Deck The Halls” with Lady Gaga riding shotgun.

The special continued with Lady Gaga, 38, Chappelle Roan, 26, and Duo Lip, 29, singing holiday classics such as The Ronettes’ “Sleigh Ride” and Wham’s “Last Christmas.”
The trio also performed their own songs including “Disease” by Lady Gaga, “New Rules” by Dua Lipa and “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan.
The final run of Lowe’s shift saw him join Lady Gaga’s band on electric guitar to record a new version of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” which is being released as an audio track.

Lady Gaga also sang her 2008 holiday single “Christmas Tree,” which left Lowe confused with suggestive lyrics including “under the mistletoe, everybody knows we’re gonna take our clothes off” and “my Christmas tree is delicious.”
In a surprise twist, AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson also joined them for the ride — and Gaga later revealed that she appeared as an extra in the band’s video for “Stiff Upper Lip” at age 17.

During the Chappell Roan segment — which featured her parents Kara and Dwight Amstutz — the singer introduced Lowe to a chicken named after Lady Gaga on her family’s farm in Springfield, Missouri.
Roan’s parents also took the opportunity to ride in the SUV and tell Lowe how proud they were of their daughter. “I love when you can just see how people react [her] so many songs,” says Kara.
However, the biggest surprise remains Dua Lipa, who takes Lowe Christmas shopping in downtown Tokyo while singing Whitney Houston’s classic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”
