Lainey Wilson Says She's Hanging with Boyfriend Duck Hodges, Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo After 2024 ACMs (Exclusive)

Win or lose, Lainey Wilson celebrates after the ACMs.

Speaking to PEOPLE on the red carpet at the 2024 ACM Awards on Thursday, May 16, Wilson revealed her plans for after the show.

“I’m sure I’ll be hanging out with Jelly Roll, my boy and Bunnie somewhere [Xo] somewhere,” says Wilson, 31. “I’ll probably hang out with my parents.”

Of her boyfriend, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, she adds, “Duck’s great. Duck runs here, too. He’s friends with all the artists. When they see me and him together, they say, ‘Duck!’ and I’m like… they pick him!”

Wilson and Jelly scored a hit together last year with a remix of his single “Save Me,” which reached number one on the charts Board US Country Airplay chart and #19 on the all-genre Hot 100 chart.

The awards, broadcast live from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, will see Wilson take the stage for a special performance. Other performers include Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Cody Johnson, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton and more.

The “Watermelon Moonshine” singer is also up for five awards, including entertainer of the year, female artist of the year, song of the year and musical event of the year.

Earlier this month, Wilson announced plans to release her fifth studio album, Whirlwind.

“That’s been my life for the past few years. I hope this record brings peace to your ‘whirlwind’ and wraps its arms around you like it did me while writing and recording it. August 23rd. Pre-order and pre-save now! ” she captioned the post.

Lainey Wilson on keeping her relationship with Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges private: ‘We made it work’

The record, set for an Aug. 23 release, is “a daringly honest look at the country star’s life and travels around the world,” according to a press release.

“Whirlwind is an innovative and grounded extension of Wilson’s signature sound. Bridging a diverse yet sonically cohesive collection of songs, the record bends genres while staying true to the singer’s western roots,” reads a press release.

The 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards are broadcast live on Prime Video from the Ford Center at The Star in Texas.
