Lana Del Rey’s stay at Waffle House was short-lived.
The singer has finally opened up about her internet-famous shift at Alabama Waffle House. She said The Hollywood Reporter that she never intended to work behind the counter at a chain restaurant, but after a week in town in Alabama and a few hours at a restaurant with her siblings, Del Rey decided to shake it up a bit.
“We were in the third class, and the servers asked, ‘Would you like some shirts?’ Del Rey told The Hollywood Reporter her visit to the Waffle House in Florence, Alabama. “Hell yes! We were delighted – she continued.

After seeing Del Rey in a blue button-up chain uniform, many fans thought the singer might be switching to a career as a server, but she revealed it’s not nearly as serious.
