Lance Bass says he’s been ‘dreaming about this moment’ for decades as he celebrates Halloween with his family of four

In November, the singer spoke with PEOPLE about how special it was to share his band NSYNC’s new music with his twins.

“It’s very special. It was unexpected to do the song this year. It was amazing. Unfortunately, we’re not able to promote it or perform it, which is a shame,” he said. “But it’s so great to have something out there that my kids can enjoy.”

Before recording the pop song “Better Place”, for Trolls Band Togethersaid Bass, “I never thought I’d ever get to see my dad on stage or hear a new song on the radio.”

“So when we’re in the car and the song comes on and ‘Better Place’ plays, they go crazy and go, ‘Ah!’ And they know it’s Baba on the radio,” he proudly recounted. “It’s special for me, for them to be able to hear it and see what dad is doing. And, who knows? I hope we can give them a little more in the future.”

He also shared what he is most excited about this holiday season with his family.

“Holidays are much better with children. I’m a rest freak, I live for holidays,” he laughed. “And the last few years, it can be a bit disappointing. Christmas comes and goes and you’re like, ‘Ah, I didn’t get to do the things I really wanted to do.'”

“But now, with kids, you really make an effort and see the holidays with new eyes,” he continued. “You have to follow those customs that you had to do when you were a kid, and it just makes you happy to see them so happy.”

“The holidays are so much more magical these days. I like to keep a lot of the traditions that I grew up with, but I like to try to find my own traditions, which has been fun to naturally evolve and happen.”
