Lauren Jauregui Still Has ‘Love for the Girls’ of Fifth Harmony: ‘The Four of Us Talk’ (Exclusive)

Lauren Jauregui is very fond of her Fifth Harmony bandmates.

The singer spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about the status of the musical group consisting of herself, Ally Brooke, Normani and Dinah Jane — along with Camila Cabello until she left the band in 2016 — at the Femme It Forward Give Her FlowHers Awards Gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Friday , November 8.

When asked if he still keeps in touch with the current members of Fifth Harmony, Jauregui, 29, says, “Yeah, I mean, I definitely still love the girls a lot.”

“The four of us talk here and there. Yeah, Dinah actually had a show yesterday. I couldn’t make it. I landed too late last night, but she and Ally were out last night,” she continues. “Yeah, we’re definitely still in touch.”

Fifth Harmony was formed with the help of Simon Cowell after the members first met in 2012 on the second season of the American version The X factor. The group finished at number three and released the singles “Worth It” in 2015 and “Work From Home” in 2016, along with studio albums Fifth harmony, Reflection and 7/27.

They said in a statement at the time: “We are all very excited and grateful to be able to take this time to learn and grow creatively and really find our footing as individuals.”

“By doing this, we allow ourselves to gain new experiences, strengths and perspectives that we can bring back to our Fifth Harmony family,” they added.

The band has not released any music since 2017.

The Femme It Forward Give Her FlowHers Awards Gala was hosted by Saweetie. Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante Broadus surprisingly received the Black Love Award, while Andra Day presented Chloe x Halle with the My Sister’s Keeper Award.
