Lauren Sánchez subtly responds to chatter about her inaugural outfit.
The 55-year-old philanthropist and former news anchor “liked” multiple comments on social media that appeared to reference the white bustier suit she wore to President Donald Trump’s Jan. 20 inauguration.
Sánchez, who appeared at the event with her fiance, Jeff Bezos, wore a monochrome white Alexander McQueen ensemble, with a tailored blazer and lace corset. The unconventional look caused a sharp reaction from those who felt it was too risque for the occasion.
On the evening of January 20, Sánchez attended the Starlight Ball as part of the inauguration. For the affair, she wore a dramatic Dolce & Gabbana gown with a corset-style bodice and long, flowing sleeves.

Another “liked” comment read: “I thought your inauguration outfit was very modern and classy, you look gorgeous 💋.”
A third read: “Stunning! Every outfit so far goes beyond physical style, but represents being true to yourself, being bold, taking risks and being confident in your own skin. This should be embraced more.”
