“You need to pull yourself together, Draline, you’re holding Alana back,” Lauryn said as she warned her sister’s boyfriend about messing with her prospects, including her college aspirations

Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird refuses to let her younger sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s future be ruined by her boyfriend Dralin Carswell.

In the episode from Friday Mama June: Family crisisLauryn and Alana continued to clash over Small children and tiaras alum’s inability to make a decision about attending college in Colorado in the fall.

With her boyfriend Dralin’s ongoing legal troubles and a possible trial up in the air, Alana, 18, was unable to make a decision because Dralin’s ability to leave the country was unknown.

Lauryn, 24, eventually decided to take matters into her own hands for fear of Alana leaving higher education for love, and secretly took Dralin to see her “bail lady” to get some answers.

The trip proved unsuccessful when Dralin was instructed to call the courthouse and the duo returned home to find an annoyed Alana waiting for them in the driveway. After he informed Alana of the status of his legal affairs, she admitted that she had no intention of going to Colorado without him.

“It’s important that Dralin can come with me to Colorado because firstly, it’s a big scary move, and secondly, I just feel that Dralin would push me a lot more than I would push myself,” Alana admitted in front of the cameras.

Elsewhere in the episode, Lauryn went to Alana’s room to have a heart-to-heart about her future plans. There, the mom of four admitted that she often wondered what her life would be like if she hadn’t been a teenage mom.

“If someone pushed me the way I push you, maybe I wouldn’t have had a child so early,” she thought seriously. “Sometimes I think about what I could be doing. I could be in culinary school, I could be a baker now, I could have my own bakery.”

“I just feel like sometimes you let other people stop you, you have to make your own way,” she added. “And it’s like, one wrong move, Alana, it could be as simple as – you screwed up.”

While Dralin delayed calling the courthouse, Lauryn called the couple into the kitchen where she made him pick up the phone and call the person in charge of his case. The man on the phone suggested Dralin call a lawyer he had yet to find.

When Alana left the room, Lauryn spoke sharply to Dralina and warned him about messing with her little sister’s looks.
