Lavar Ball confirmed that his leg was amputated by diabetes.

Ball, 57, told the magazine that he had undergone a procedure in January – noticing that the time matched with Liangel’s song “Tweaker”, which became a virus.

“I had an infection on a foot that began to spread through my blood because I did not pay attention to my diabetes,” Ball said. “In the end, I had to amputate my leg. They cut off a few toes first. Then they cut off my foot. Then they said, we have to almost go to another surgery.” ”
The businessman said that there were three operations and four blood transfusions.
Ball said the doctors told him that his infection had appeared so badly that “they were very close that they had to close it.”

“But they were fast enough to give me a blood transfusion and prevent that poison from going through my body,” Ball said. He shared that things would probably get worse if he never went to the doctor.
“If I don’t go late last year during Christmas to look at that infection, [an infection] This happens maybe a month or two at the bottom of the foot, this would be a different kind of story, “he said Slam.
His loved ones were a large part of what went through the health path, giving him to realize that “he is here for a greater purpose” – especially after he began to question “whether it was sometimes going through it.”

He hopes that others are motivated by his story to take their health seriously, and to those who have diabetes to look at their sugar intake. The experience left him with a different way of thinking.
