The styling partnership between Law Roach and Zendaya was very nice.
If you look at any of the red carpet outfits the actress has worn lately, you’ll see that she tells a story — and they’re gorgeous and perfectly match her style and personality.
That’s because this duo has been working together for over a decade and they work together (and support each other) flawlessly. Roach has dressed Zendaya for multiple Met Galas, including this year where she played the role of co-chair, has seen her on numerous press tours and dressed her for numerous red carpets.
Roach sourced the beautiful pieces that Zendaya wore and proudly walked many of those carpets with her not only as her stylist (and self-proclaimed image architect), but also as her friend. Although he officially retired from the style game in March 2023, he continues to work with Challengers actress, as well as several others. And while she’ll continue to challenge herself to up her game with each new outfit with Zendaya, she tells PEOPLE she has one big goal on her to-do list.

“So in the early 2000s there was a promoter. He was working cool clubs and his name was Andre J,” Roach told PEOPLE exclusively while discussing his new partnership with Pepsi Wild Cherry. “He was someone I looked up to because of his style.”
Roach further described a Vogue Paris a cover Andre J starred in in 2007 with model Carolyn Murphy, whom he had always admired.
“It really, really inspired me, so I’ve always — especially since I started doing magazine covers myself — thought, ‘How cool would it be if Zendaya and I recreated that cover?'” he says. “So I manifested that, and it was on my vision board and my wish list.”

When Roach announced last year that he was retiring from styling, he explained that his decision was not about fashion itself, but about the politics of the business. “If this business was only about clothes, I would do it for the rest of my life, but unfortunately it’s not! Politics, lies and false narratives have finally caught up with me! You won… I’m out,” he said at the time.
Now he tells PEOPLE that he feels like he’s “served people in a very special way for a really long time.” In this new place in life, it was a lot different for Roach, he says. Now he says he feels like he’s “serving a lot of people” in a way that he’s comfortable with, doing things like writing a book (How to build a fashion iconwhich was released last month), partnering with brands he loves for collaborations (like his latest one with Pepsi Wild Cherry) and collaborating with School of Style (an online school to empower the next generation of stylists).
“I think I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”
