Laxmikant Berde was born on Tuesday, October 26, 1954, in Ratnagiri (now Mumbai), Bombay State (age 50 at the time of death). His zodiac sign is Scorpio. During his childhood, he performed in Ganesh pooja pandals. He then worked as an assistant at the Maratha Sahitya Sangh (Auditorium) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and used to hold the curtain at theatrical performances held at the auditorium. He died of kidney failure at around 2:45 pm on December 16, 2004, and was cremated at Oshiwara Crematorium in Jogeshwari West, Mumbai. The cremation ceremony was attended by many popular Marathi actors including Ashok Saraf, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Mahesh Kothare. According to media sources,
