Laxmikant Berde was born on Tuesday, October 26, 1954, in Ratnagiri (now Mumbai), Bombay State (age 50 at the time of death). His zodiac sign is Scorpio. During his childhood, he performed in Ganesh pooja pandals. He then worked as an assistant at the Maratha Sahitya Sangh (Auditorium) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and used to hold the curtain at theatrical performances held at the auditorium. He died of kidney failure at around 2:45 pm on December 16, 2004, and was cremated at Oshiwara Crematorium in Jogeshwari West, Mumbai. The cremation ceremony was attended by many popular Marathi actors including Ashok Saraf, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Mahesh Kothare. According to media sources,
He had been ill for three months and had been on dialysis for quite some time. However, early this morning, his condition worsened and he died at his home in the suburbs. “

- He was born into a middle-class family and lived in a thatched hut during his childhood. In order to support his family, he sold lottery tickets when he was a child.
- He has loved acting since he was a child. He has performed as naataks during the Konkanast Samaj Ganesh festival.
- During his school and inter-school days, he won various awards in various performance competitions. In an interview, Bird talked about being a theater artist, saying,
