LeBron James is clearly picking up what Sean “Diddy” Combs is dropping with his latest album, Love album: Off the Grid.
On Monday, the Los Angeles Lakers star took to Instagram to share a video of himself playing and singing along to “Pick Up,” featuring Jacquees and Fabolous. The song is on the album that was released on September 15.
The clip began with James, 38, in the passenger seat as he nodded along to the music, repeating: “Okay! Okay!” He also sang along to the lyrics “Imma give you what you need, baby / If you let me take the lead.”
“Man oh man!!!!!!!” he wrote over the clip. “@diddy The β€οΈ Album: Off The Grid is an ABSOLUTE FKN STONE COLD VIBE!!!!! π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯.”
James β who is a father of three with wife Savannah, sons Bronny, 18, and Bryce, 16, and daughter Zhura Nova, 8 β continued to sing and dance along to the song.
The Bad Boy Records executive, 53, heard the NBA legend sense his musical vibe and decided to post his own compliment to James’ singing abilities on Instagram.
“No, my brother @KingJames got the best vote in the NBA! π LOVE! LOVE!! LOVE π€ππΏπ«β‘οΈβ¨,” Combs wrote.
In a clip posted to his Instagram, James shows off his singing and dancing skills while jamming along to Diddy’s track.

The two have been friends for several years. In 2018, Diddy shared a photo of mysterious black boxes addressed to several of his famous friends, including James, assuring his friends (and fans) that his “something special” was “on the way.”
On September 12, the hip-hop star’s legacy was honored at the MTV VMAs when longtime friend Mary J. Blige presented him with the Global Icon Award. His eldest daughter Chance, 17, and 16-year-old twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie were also on hand to support their father.

Diddy accepted the award at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. He also performed a medley of his hits with the help of Yung Miami and Keyshia Cole and his son King Combs, 25.

Diddy is also the father of sons Quincy Taylor Brown (32) and Justin Dior (29) and daughter Love (9 months).
Love album: Off the Grid marks Diddy’s first solo album since 2006 Press Playwhich included the hits “Come to Me” with Nicole Scherzinger and “Last Night” with Keyshia Cole.
Since then he has released three collaborative projects, Last train to Paris (2010) as Diddy β Dirty Money with vocalists Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper; 11 11 (2014) with Guy Gerber; and MMM (Money Making Mitch) (2015) with Family.
