On November 21, 2020, she died of kidney failure in Delhi. She had been suffering from kidney-related diseases for the past two years. Her mother reportedly donated her kidney, but Leena’s health continued to deteriorate. Several Indian actors including Rohan Mehra and Abhishek Bhalerao condoled her death.
