It is believed she was noticed by the players after she shared dozens of photos of herself in a strip from Leicester on social media.
Players noticed her after she shared dozens of photos of herself in a Leicester shirt on social media.
Winger Abdul Fatawu, 20, sent her a blue heart symbol last Saturday – hours before the Foxes played Arsenal in Prem.
His team, without a win so far this season, lost 4-2 after conceding two late goals, with the Ghanaian star making a late appearance as a substitute.
This led to the woman, who is not being identified, asking her friends: “Why is he sending me this? You should train.”
There are no suggestions that anything inappropriate happened, but the number of friend requests has irritated fans.
She fears Leicester’s millionaire aces have shared her online profile and are seeing who can befriend her first as a sort of “dressing room banter”.
The woman told a friend that midfielder Hamza Choudhury (27), also on the bench last Saturday, contacted her on Instagram four times.
She was also approached via the Internet by two people who recently played for the club, but are now elsewhere.
Harry Souttar, 25, on loan at Sheffield United, and Man City ace Callum Doyle, 21, on loan at Leicester last season, are believed to be among a number of players who have sent her friend requests.
The woman — a teacher — even claims that one day in May, she received four friend requests in the same minute from four players who had been associated with the club at some point.
Leicester City players under fire for harassing fans
She told friends on social media: “Honestly wtf.”
And the friend replied: “You’re the talk of the locker room.”
A family source said yesterday: “There’s obviously no problem with trying to follow someone; it’s social media. But she is clearly the topic of conversation among the players.
“Because they haven’t won all season, you’d hope they’d have better things to do.
“We love Leicester City and we don’t want them to become Pester City.”
The Sun is aware of correspondence between the woman’s family and the club — promoted to the Premier League after winning the Championship last season.
Her father-in-law said: “She’s a huge Leicester fan so I can only assume that’s why she caught her eye.
“It makes her pretty self-conscious, especially since she’s in a relationship with my son.”
Leicester City are understood to be happy there were no inappropriate messages.
