Lenny Kravitz Reveals Where He and Jason Momoa Stand After Lisa Bonet Split: ‘We’re Family’ (Exclusive)

Lenny Kravitz and Jason Momoa’s relationship is not easy to break.

Rocker, 59, i Aquaman star, 44, have been close for years, having been linked during Momo’s more than 15-year relationship with Kravitz’s ex Lisa Bonet. Despite the couple’s split after five years of marriage, Kravitz tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story that nothing has changed on his end.

“We are a family, we will be family,” he says of Momoa, when asked about the state of their famous friendship amid the star’s divorce from Bonet. “There’s no judgement.

For Kravitz, the connection runs deeper than his and Momo’s. “I’m very proud that their children call me Uncle Lenny,” he says of Bonet and Momo’s children Lola Lolani and Nakoa-Wolf. “We are all very close and share a lot of love.”

While divorce can be the death knell for some friendships, Kravitz doesn’t do it that way. “Everything is good,” he says. “We will go on, life will go on, love will go on.”

It’s been that way since his own split with Bonet in 1993. When it comes to his relationship with The Cosby Show alum and mother of his daughter Zoë Kravitz, 35, says they worked to stay close.

“Love doesn’t leave you, but it has to find a new way to navigate a new life,” he says. “We consciously wanted to do it. It took time, believe me, but she is a part of my life that will never leave my heart, my soul or my spirit. I am who I am because of our experience.”
