LeeAnne Locken gets candid about the surgical and cosmetic procedures she’s had this week.
In an Instagram post shared on Friday, the former The Real Housewives of Dallas star, 56, shared a picture of herself that appears to have been taken shortly before her procedures began on Tuesday.
Locken smiled in the picture, lying on what looked like an operating table. She was wearing a surgical cap and a paper gown with visible pencil marks on her neck.
In the caption, Locken explained why she underwent surgery to remove her breast implants after viewers watched her get them in the first season RHOD.
Locken also had a laser procedure on her face.

“It took three months to actually stop the disease from eating my skin, to stop the necrosis… It took probably seven months before some of my organs even started to function normally,” she told ET at the time, noting that bacteria would eat away at her surgical stitches.
In an Instagram Story seen by PEOPLE on Friday, Locken said necrosis caused by a flesh-eating bacteria was what caused her implants to rupture.
“It was bad,” she said of her scar tissue and pain before surgery in her Story. “The doctor even said that my right implant was actually attached in my armpit and most of my pectoral muscle looked like it had been eaten alive with scar tissue.”

“It’s a NEW YEAR so I’m starting with a NEW ME!!” Locken wrote near the end of the post’s title. Other photos and videos on her Instagram story show her face after the procedure.
