Lenny Kravitz Shares Airport Selfie with 'Legendary' Frankie Valli: 'Nothing but Respect for You Sir'

Oh, what a trip to the airport!

Lenny Kravitz took to Instagram on September 29 to share a pair of selfies with the one and only Frankie Valli after the two musicians recently met before or after hopping on a flight.

“Just ran into the legendary Frankie Valli at the airport. Respect to you sir,” wrote the Grammy-winning “Fly Away” singer-songwriter, 60. “Endless hits and still touring at 90. Love!”

In the photos, Kravitz wore a sweater, leather jacket and sunglasses as he smiled and wrapped his arm around a smiling Valla, 90, who was wearing glasses and a jacket.

This year, The Hunger Games the actor was on tour in support of his latest album, Electric blue light. This fall, he plans to perform a series of concerts in Las Vegas and New Jersey, before heading to Latin America for a series of dates.

At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month, Kravitz won best rock for his song “Human” and dedicated the honor to his mother, Roxie Roker, who died of cancer in 1995 at age 66.

Valli spoke to PEOPLE around his 89th birthday in May 2023, explaining at the time that he was feeling “pretty good.”

“It’s just another year, the way I see it. So far, knock on wood, my health has been good enough to drive – I’ve got all my marbles and I’m always interested in learning,” the foursome said. The “Sherry” singer addressed the thought of retirement and assured fans that he plans to continue doing so for the foreseeable future. “I’ll probably tour until I can’t anymore, but even if it’s a limited amount of touring, it’s something I love and I love the people. If it wasn’t for the people, I wouldn’t have a career in the music business,” he said.

“These are the guys who actually went out and bought a product like you made, loved you and came to see you. When you go to another city and work in another place, it’s like visiting friends. It’s the best way to I can say that,” said Valli, who has plenty of North American tours planned through 2025.
