The athlete spent his first years at Grantsburg High School, where he played running back and running back. Leo finished his high school career with 1,300 receiving yards, 3,706 rushing and 68 touchdowns. The player went on to play collegiately at the University of Wisconsin, where he was named Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year and first team All-Big Ten. Interestingly, one of his brothers, John Chenal, shares his love for sports, especially football. Leo’s upbringing in a large family greatly influenced his idealistic ideas and competitive personality.
In an interview, his brother said that competitive eating is not a sport, but survival at the table. My family would prepare various dishes. Whoever arrives first gets to eat.” His nationality is Caucasian. Other than that, no additional details are available.

On the soccer field, the Chenal siblings are a great source of inspiration for each other. The two were each other’s driving force because they share the same passion. John, like his brother, graduated from Grantsburg High School and went on to play at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2018-2022.
He led the team to two Super Bowl victories and made over 40 appearances during his college career. John later declared for the 2022 NFL Draft with his brother Leo, however, he went undrafted. Nevertheless, after graduating with a degree in communications, he works as a distribution specialist for Wisconsin Distributors. In his personal life, he is happily married to his wife Hallie Chenal. The couple exchanged vows in June 2021 at a location in northern Wisconsin.
