The series, which has already garnered a lot of attention, debuted its trailer last week – and it’s everything we could have hoped for. What is Lessons in Chemistry about?
“Set in the early 1950s, Lessons in Chemistry follows Elizabeth Zott (played by Larson), whose dream of becoming a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society,” explains the synopsis.

The first two episodes of Lessons in Chemistry will arrive on Apple TV+ on October 13, 2023. Following the series premiere, episodes will premiere every Friday until November 24, 2023.
Meet the cast of Chemistry Lessons
Oscar winner Brie Larson takes on the role of Elizabeth Zott, a headstrong and ambitious scientist whose dreams are dashed. Frustrated by a society that believes women belong in the family sphere rather than the business sphere, Elizabeth decided to speak out and challenge the limitations placed on her.

One of Hollywood’s biggest and brightest stars, Brie is known for her role as Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Among her notable films, Brie also appeared in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Roomand Kong: Skull Island.

Meanwhile, Lewis Pullman, who is the son Sinner and Independence Day star Bill Pullman will play Calvin Evans, a star scientist at the research institute where Elizabeth works. Movie buffs may recognize Lewis from Bad times at the El Royale and Top Gun: Maverick.
