Lexi is the only woman to compete in a PGA Tour tournament, joining Babe Zaharias, the “athlete of the 20th century,” Shirley Sport, Annika Sorenstam, Suzey Whaley, Michelle Wie West and Brittany Lincicome. The 29-year-old is inspired by those who came before her and plans to draw inspiration from them in the future.
She also expressed her gratitude to the Shriners children for the opportunity. Thompson also thanked Shriners Children for supporting all children with disabilities, regardless of gender. Thompson was also thrilled to go to Las Vegas and was inspired by the young people who attended the event.
