Liam Payne Was 'Kicked Out' of Another Hotel in Days Leading Up to His Death: Sources (Exclusive)

Liam Payne was facing difficulties during his stay in Buenos Aires, Argentina, before his death.

Before the former One Direction member fell several floors at the CasaSur Palermo hotel and died at the age of 31 on Oct. 16, three sources tell PEOPLE that he was “kicked out” of another hotel, the Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires.

An insider says Payne was asked to leave “because he was being disruptive and disruptive to other guests and appeared drunk.”

Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires had no comments.

Pablo Policicchio, director of communications for the Buenos Aires Ministry of Security, previously told PEOPLE that the musician “jumped off the balcony” of his hotel room.

A preliminary autopsy report found that Payne died of multiple injuries and “internal and external” bleeding after the fall, the National Office of the Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor confirmed to PEOPLE.

Coroners told PEOPLE that 25 of the post-mortem injuries were “compatible with those caused by a fall from a height” and noted that “injuries to the head were sufficient to cause death,” while “internal and external bleeding” of the skull, chest, abdomen and limbs they contributed to Payne’s death.

Authorities said “no defensive injuries were found” and that none of the injuries indicated the involvement of any third party. The prosecutor’s office handling the case also confirmed that a toxicology report is still pending.

“I am truly devastated by Liam’s death,” Styles began the message, sharing, “His greatest joy was making other people happy and it was an honor to be with him as he did that.”

Horan – who saw Payne on October 2 after the late singer attended his concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires – expressed feeling “so happy to see him recently”.

“Unfortunately, I didn’t know that after saying goodbye and hugging him, I would say goodbye forever,” wrote the performer of “Spore ruke”. – It’s heartbreaking.
