Lil’ Kim Claims Presales for Her Upcoming Memoir Are ‘Surpassing the Bible’

Lil’ Kim has topped the charts with her music in the past. Now he is preparing to publish his long-awaited memoir Queen bee — will it outsell one of the most popular books of all time?

During a recent Instagram Live, the “Not Tonight” rapper talked about her upcoming memoir and claimed that it’s currently “outselling the Bible” in orders so far.

“When we do our pre-orders, we beat the Bible, and it’s crazy,” Lil’ Kim, 49, said in a clip from the broadcast that has since been shared on social media. “And the thing is, it’s, like, the Bible. I don’t take that lightly. You all already know that.”

Lil’ Kim’s memoir is unlikely to outsell the Bible, but she has a significant story to tell. Queen beeco-written with Kathy Iandoli, will find the rapper recounting her life and career as a Grammy-winning artist in the male-dominated hip-hop genre.

She announced the book in 2021, telling PEOPLE in a statement, “I’m excited to finally be able to tell my story after so long. A lot of people thought they knew Lil’ Kim’s story, but they have no idea.”

Elsewhere in a recent Instagram Live, Lil’ Kim opened up about why Queen bee was delayed as its original release date of November 1, 2021 was announced, telling fans that the book was “done”.

“It’s some crazy s— going on behind the scenes,” she said. “You have to be very careful when you’re dealing with these book companies because they’re trying to, like, literally take advantage of you.”

According to publisher Hachette Books, Queen bee it is currently set for a September 23, 2025 release.
