“We want people to leave our ceremony feeling very loved and inspired,” the comedian tells PEOPLE
After four months of engagement, Lil Rel Howery and Dannella Lane are now thinking about a “beautiful, beautiful ceremony” to tie the knot.
During the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on Friday Clarence bookThe 44-year-old comedian and actor shared how he and his fiancee are planning their wedding, revealing that they are already on a date!
“We’re not going to say it yet and I’ve set up a date, but it will be whatever she wants to do,” Howery tells PEOPLE. “[Also what] I want to do it, this is both of our second time being married and this is our last time. And so we want to make this a beautiful, beautiful ceremony.”

As Howery described the couple’s goals for their “medium” wedding on the red carpet, Lane swooped in to make sure everything was going according to plan. “Did he say that’s something I want? I just want to make sure we have that on the record,” she joked.
Howery also notes that his partner “doesn’t let him” plan the wedding himself. “I’d be great, you know, but my version is too small,” he said, before Lane revealed how Howery was thinking about having a “pizza party afterward.”
“I didn’t say that,” he said. – I mean, honestly, I wouldn’t… it would be cheaper.
The couple’s upcoming nuptials, where they plan to star Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the reception, will follow their headline-making Bey-inspired engagement in September.
During the singer’s performance at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and her performance of “Love on Top,” Howery popped the question to Lane and shared some behind-the-scenes footage of the day on Instagram.
“SHE SAID YES!!!! What a story lol,” Howery wrote of the proposal, which was shown on the big screen in the ballroom. “Thank you @mstinaknowles and Jay for helping make this special moment happen. Tonight @beyonce did amazing B Day show, thanks for taking some time out of your show lol to make @dannellalane my fiancee… Love at the top!!! #LoveIsInTheAir #TheProposal.”

Lane also shared the clip on Instagram after it all started, captioning it as wanting to “pinch.”
“As I was driving home I said ‘what am I going to do with you’ and you said ‘we have the rest of our lives to figure it out’ OMG OMG,” she wrote. “Thank you @mstinaknowles @beyonce and @jayz for helping my FIANCE pull this off and sharing your birthday with us! The whole fiance at Beyoncé!!!!”
The comedian later admitted that he had to “hit Miss Tina [Knowles] to find out what’s the best song for me to do this,” as she suggested “Love on Top,” while JAY-Z said to pop the question on the big screen.
