Disney is famous for its princes and men who make princesses swoon. While they may have dazzling blue eyes, the massive castle is where David (Jason Scott Lee) came from. Lilo & Stitch Mop the floor with them. He may not come from royalty or an impressive background, but he has a kind heart, which makes him the best Disney character.
Fans were introduced to David in the 2002 film, Lilo & Stitch, He’s back in the sequel. Fans are quickly overwhelmed by his kind and understanding attitude when it comes to Nani (Tia Carrere) and why she’s not dating him. Throughout the film, many scenes prove that David deserves to win the hearts of fans.
his fire show
The audience first saw David at work. The scene itself is hilarious, but fun to watch. It’s not every day that male Disney characters have such a great job and hobby. Since both the film and the characters are set in Hawaii, David is a fire dancer or fire dancer.
He showed off his impressive skill when manipulating a stick with fire at both ends. It was a dizzying sight that quickly turned comical. He accidentally caused part of the roof — and himself — to burst into flames when he used an accelerator to blow the flames. He’s great at that.
when he asked Nani
David is often loved by fans for his polite manners. Not long after his fire show, he talks to Nani and asks her out. But Nani explains that she can’t date right now. Her first priority is Lilo (Daveigh Chase) and protecting her from social workers.
The best part is that David understands her situation. He doesn’t try to pressure her about it, and knows that his better days will come. Lilo reassures him that Nani likes his nice ass and hair.
Trying to cheer up Nani and Lilo
Nani works hard to take care of Lilo. She tries to find work in town but fails and worries that the social workers will take Lilo away. Both were upset as they sat on the beach.
David comes to the rescue. He explains that he may not be a doctor, but knows the perfect way to cheer up a sour face. A couple of boogie games and some great waves. There is a touching clip right after Lilo and Nani bond and have fun together.
Dive into the sea to save Lilo and Stitch
David has been together for a long time and can take care of Lilo like his own family. After a hilarious moment while surfing, Stitch (Chris Sanders) is nearly kidnapped and dragged to the ocean floor. To escape, he took Lilo with him. It was heroic when David swam up to Nani and asked what happened.
He did not hesitate to dive to assist in rescuing Lilo and Stitch and bringing them to shore. While most of Disney’s male characters present their own heroism, when it comes to Lilo and Stitch, David’s heroism is second nature.
help Nani find a job
One of the rules the social worker gave Nani was that she needed a job to prove she could support Lilo. However, she did not find one. David knocks on every chance he gets her. He explains that a local in town needs help at his shop, but tells her to hurry.
David may have a crush on Nani, but that’s not why he’s helping her so much. He really cares about her and Lilo’s happiness. He knew Lilo belonged to her sister, not to the foster care system.
Play and treat Lilo and Lilo like your own children
In the beach trailer, David shows why he’s such a great male character. First, he doesn’t mind taking the responsibility of taking care of Lilo if he dates Nani. Despite that, he considers Lilo his family, even if they remain friends. In the footage, he picks up Lilo and sits on his surfboard, taking her along the waves.
There’s even a heartwarming moment when he and Nani swing Lilo and Lilo back and forth between them. Almost like my parents. They even helped her build a sand castle and bury her in it. In the sequel, he shows his support by accompanying Nani to Lilo’s epic hula recital. Ohana means family.
When complimenting Nani .’s ‘alien’ food
In the sequel, the aliens have become residents of the town and often hang out with Nani, David, Lilo, and Stitch. Nani is trying to change things around her and spend more time with her family. Which means movie night, where she makes alien-inspired snacks.
Everyone thought it was a little weird, but David went out of his way to commend her efforts. Then he tried to ask her out but realized that she was asleep. Pleakley (David McDonald) tries to convince David that their relationship is boring. But David says Nani is tired and understands that she slept.
try to increase the relationship
Pleakley tries to let David know that he needs to rekindle his relationship with Nani before it falls apart. The two main comedic scenes show David’s shyness when it comes to trying. It starts with Pleakley trying to convince Nani that David is flirting. David doesn’t think it’s a good idea and knows that Nani is smarter than that.
The second incident occurred when he impromptu visited the house in a matador outfit. When he tells Nani that she is not the only fish in the sea, he is not so sure about himself. At least he’s trying to keep things going.
Trying to comfort Nani after the social worker’s visit
Nani’s social worker has a way of keeping track of everything. He even witnessed the scene where Lilo nearly drowned in the sea, much to his displeasure. While talking to David, Nani gives Lilo to David. David asks Nani if he can be of any help.
It’s quite a thought to see how much David has done to try to bring Nani and Lilo together. David will always be the shoulder for Nani to cry on.
accept aliens
At the end of the first movie, all the aliens and Stitch decide to stop fighting… and stop trying to capture Stitch and bring him home!
Ironically, they were all stranded on a broken boat in the middle of the ocean. During the time David was surfing on his surfboard, Lilo asked David if he could bring them ashore. While a little confused, he agreed and said he needed to make two trips. He even told Stitch that there are good places to surf in space. It’s nice to know that instead of shocking or rejecting the group of aliens, David helped them out.
