Lily Allen is going back to her roots as she returns across the pond!
On Friday, the British singer (38) shared a photo of herself at the airport on Instagram. She had the same medium-length hair she had in recent pictures she shared on social media while in New York, but the hair color was a dark shade of brunette instead of the red hair she’s been wearing since September 2023.
“I’m going home for my mom’s birthday,” the “Smile” singer wrote in the caption of the post. “We’re not going to eat Chinese food, my sister is cooking and we’re not going to watch TV because she’s going to be on Facebook.”

The “Hard Out Here” singer often changes her hair color, but she hasn’t been a brunette for a long time.
In November 2023, she even changed the shade of red and the length of her hair, lightening the color to a shade that can only be described as fiery and adding extensions.
Allen’s hairstyle change coincides with her announcement on Instagram on Thursday that her 2008 album It’s not me, it’s you is being reprinted for Record Store Day on April 20th. Allen had longer hair on the album cover, but the color was similar to her last shade of brown.

“That’s right!!!!! Liccle Repress coming April 20th for @recordstoreday. Can you believe this album is 15 years old?” she wrote in the description of the post announcing the reprint.
“5 houses, 3 kids and two husbands later, I’m still here, well, I’m in America now, but I’m writing, hopefully I’ll have something new to listen to soon. Keep your eyes open,” she wrote, teasing new music.
