HBO’s new TV series The Idol has certainly received a lot of criticism, and it has now been revealed that the series will end with a fifth episode, despite initially being announced as having a total plus six episodes.
The fifth episode is called Jocelyn Forever and will be the final episode of the series. While HBO declined to comment on why the series ended early, a source told TVLine that the series only needed five episodes after Euphoria creator Sam Levinson was brought in to make the changes and season. Great series has been re-shot.

Talking about her role and how she compares it to her own life growing up with famous parents, Lily Rose told EW, “The basic story that we think a lot about Jocelyn is that she who has been working since she started talking. She’s a child actress, she’s got a mom that’s very hardworking that way and she really raised her to be a trained actress, and that’s her upbringing. It’s definitely not mine.

“I mean, my parents definitely did their best to give me and my brother the most ‘normal’ childhood we could have. Obviously, still not quite normal, but but at least a sense of normalcy, a sense of childhood and freedom and play and everything.

Viewers took to Twitter to discuss the show, with one writing: “Every time there’s a moment where I’m enjoying #TheIdol, The Weeknd’s character comes and takes all the oxygen in the room and destroys it. So sad I wish we had the original version of this series”, while another added: “How the hell would Jocelyn let… this man rule her life only in 3 days???? This show is so unrealistic If you want an iconic, dominant leader, you have to at least convince the audience that anyone is going to have a crush on him. there’s no such thing.”
